WaiHan: Hoi Yan, a 3rd-time mum, emailed me at 37-week with a list of thoughtful questions, preparing for the most gentle welcome for her baby. At 38-week, she wrote, "... hospital birth? Home birth? Can i do it?" At 40-week, she birthed freely at her cosy home, baby slipped into Dad's loving hands. The birth was "transformative" and empowering - a rite of passage for Mum, Dad and Baby. She titled her story as "A Love Story Rewritten". Here's her explanation:
"Oh... a love story... this is how I feel about my birth. I was so much in love in the process. From the gentle kind care from my hubby. I felt like a queen. All the soups, tonic, hard boil egg... It's not a birth story... It's a love story."
