Presence of stool passed by baby during labour
I’m thankful however that my doctor had allowed me to experience labor and respected our decision. As what hubby said, what’s important is that we did try our best under the circumstances and at the end of the day, both baby and mummy are safe.

Buat anakandaku Aaron Harith, Mac datang lagi.
- Fieza Idris, 1st-time mum who birthed at 43weeks+4 days to a 3.95kg boy (March 2012)
There is a thin line between life and death. I understood the risk that I was taking when I decided on a home birth. If things went well, happiness was mine. However, if it did not, I was ready to take full responsibility. In my prayer, I have faith and trusted God that he is in control in any situation.
— Margaret Bong-Chau, 1st-time mum, who had an elating home-lotus birth. (Nov 2012)
Being told again and again by 5 different doctors that due to my height (141cm) and small built I will have to go for cesarean, I was somewhat haunted by their words. Especially that I've gone over my estimated due date, I was starting to believe that those doctors were right; baby was not able to descend because my pelvic bone is too small.
— Aryanti, 1st time mum (141cm height) who birthed her 3.3kg baby easily at home (with presence of meconium) (Feb 2012)
Throughout my pregnancy, I had 3 different EDD: 12/4, 16/4 and lastly at 34wks it was 6/4. Whenever I’m asked about my due date, I would nonchalantly answer mid April because I knew all these dates were only an estimation. Secretly I looked forward to an Easter baby (8/4) or perhaps the perfect birthday present (4/4) all for myself.
— Jaclyn Seng, 2nd-time mum who had a rewarding birth despite presence of meconium and postpartum drama (April 2012)
I did a second birth breathing which then helped my baby's body slide out ever so slowly. As I was in a state of euphoric tranquillity and excitement, I could feel every point of my baby's body - his shoulders, elbows, and knees, as they steadily pass through my birth canal. I could not describe how thrilled I was to feel those beautiful sensations and NOT FEEL ANY KIND OF PAIN AT ALL!
— Prof Madya Dr. Afiza, 2nd-time mum who had a euphoric home-VBAC (April 11)
First, I have a big baby. Doctor already said he was big at term and if I "overdue" will end up c-section. Doctor even rejected to scan me after term as she didn't want to take the risk. My baby came 10 days past my EDD. Second, labour was too long.. it ended up 18hrs of intense pain. In the hospital, I might end up having high blood pressure. Third, baby in occiput posterior position. Fourth, meconium spotted.. all these might end me up in c-section.
— Cherlyn, 1st-time mum who birthed her 9-pound son at home, 10 days past her EDD (June 11)
