I discovered HypnoBirthing by accidentally clicking on Wai Han’s signoff at the MeadJohnson forum while expecting at 35 weeks. After reading her website, I was intrigued by the drug-free, painless way of giving birth as my fears of labour pains were mounting at the days ticked by!
Everyone thought that I was going to birth on Labour Day. Well, baby decided not to come out on this date. We (dad, Keith, maid and I) went to pick up hubby from the airport at about 9 a.m. on Labour Day. I was feeling kinda dizzy while I was waiting at the airport for hubby. Well, I didn't bother much as I always have this kinda dizzy spell on and off. But, I did have surges on and off. Hubby asked me to induce and have the baby out on the 1st. At last, I gave in as I was having surges on and off. My gynae was away over the long weekend and she did informed me during my last check up.
I only decided to use HypnoBirthing for my 2nd birth in my 35th week of pregnancy. I bought the book and decided to self study since I could not make it in time for the course and my hubby was not supportive. I met up with Wai Han who was ever so kind to share with me some tips and lend me her copy of the Rainbow Relaxation CD.
