√ Government hospital childbirth
√ Breathing techniques
√ Powerful Love Hormone
That morning, upon admission, I was found to be 2 cm dilated, but the hospital did not allow me to go home because my contractions were persistent and quite regular, though not very intense. I found internal examinations uncomfortable, often feeling an urgent need to urinate afterward, so I tried to avoid frequent checks.
By the afternoon, I was dilated to 3 cm, and I used breathing techniques to help myself relax. Eventually, when I felt I could no longer manage, I asked the nurse to check again, and I was already 6 cm dilated. She was surprised and promptly arranged for me to be moved to the delivery room.
To my surprise, things progressed quickly after reaching 6 cm.
The contractions were very strong, and I continually reminded myself that the pain from contractions would not harm me, focusing on my breathing to endure it.
In addition to breathing techniques, the hormone of love, also known as oxytocin, was very important to me. Since I was delivering at a government hospital and my husband could not be present, he made sure to visit during every visiting hour, and he noted down everything I mentioned and needed.
In fact, he hadn’t rested the previous night as we had driven back from Ipoh in the early morning. Before that, I felt the onset of labor and rested in the room while he was working. When I later said that I might be going into labor soon, he immediately drove back from Ipoh, despite being exhausted.
My husband did not sleep all day and even went out to buy my favorite cheesecake. At that moment, I felt less pain, even though the contractions were quite intense. I had mentioned the cheesecake casually during a lesson, possibly the one on preparing for the delivery room, and he remembered it.
I am very grateful for the support from my partner, and I am deeply touched. ☺️
I am satisfied with the entire process. Although I had an episiotomy and some tearing, I was able to bring my baby into the world in just one hour. During the final stage, the head nurse kept praising me, saying I did a great job! Haha~ 🤣

【Mentor’s Note】
The night before the delivery, Chloe from Ipoh sent me a message saying she seemed to be experiencing early labor. We talked on the phone, and I advised her that she did not need to rush back immediately, giving her some suggestions.
Having attended the classes, she was well-informed about the subsequent steps and managed the entire process effectively. She gently welcomed her baby and avoided unnecessary interventions and induction, making the labor process smoother.
I often receive questions from mothers asking, “If I am delivering at a government hospital, can HypnoBirthing still help?” Chloe’s experience directly answers this question—yes, regardless of where you choose to deliver, HypnoBirthing can be beneficial.
