√ GBS (Group B Streptococcus) mom
√ Easy childbirth
That night, I woke up to go to the bathroom, and suddenly, my water broke. I checked the time and realized that my contractions were already 4-5 minutes apart, so I quickly went to the hospital.
Due to the hospital’s restrictions, my husband couldn’t accompany me during labor, so I entered the delivery room alone.
The labor process was very smooth. Using the breathing techniques I learned in my HypnoBirthing class, I didn’t feel much pain or anxiety. Perhaps because my mind and body were relaxed, I quickly progressed from 4 cm to 8-9 cm in just two hours.
Since I tested positive for GBS, I needed to be on antibiotics.
However, the medication would take four hours to take effect, and I had already dilated to 9 cm in just two hours, so there wasn’t enough time. For the safety of the baby, the doctor advised an episiotomy to expedite the delivery, and I agreed.
After the baby was born, we immediately did skin-to-skin contact, and he started nursing right away. He was quite active.
Looking back, I focused on my breathing during contractions, and before I knew it, when the nurse checked, I was already 8-9 cm dilated. Everything happened so quickly, it surprised even me.
I’m really glad I took the course 😌. Many people were surprised by how fast my labor was, and I believe that staying calm and using the breathing techniques made a big difference. I kept reminding myself to relax and not to get tense.

【Mentor’s Note】
Shu Qiong found me two months before her due date, preparing for the course to warmly welcome her baby.
After five classes, I could see her growing more confident. Knowing that she could relax and enjoy a smooth delivery, even without her husband by her side on the day of labor, was truly wonderful!
As we often say: giving birth is a natural instinct for women. By staying relaxed and breathing well, this instinct can be better harnessed.
